Immobilization of Catalase onto Polylysine Modified Chitosan Polymer

In this study, chitosan polymer was modified in two different ways and used for the immobilization of bovine liver catalase (CAT). First, it activated with glutaraldehyde (GAL), then covalently immobilized onto support via lysine amino acid residue CAT. second modification, GAL-activated interacted polylysine (pLYS), reactivated GAL CAT immobilization. Samples bare (Chi), (ChiGAL), polylysine-modified (ChiGAL-pLYS), (ChiGAL-pLYSGAL) CAT-immobilized (ChiGAL -CAT ChiGAL-pLYSGAL-CAT) were all characterized by FTIR.
